Chen Man nació en 1980 en Beijing, China, donde estudió diseño gráfico en la Academia Central de Bellas Artes. Ella es la estrella del mundo de la fotografía de moda en China. Destacó cuando empezó a disparar las portadas de Vision Magazine China. Cada trabajo publicado resultaba más sorprendente y asombroso. Consiguió impactar no solo por sus increíbles imágenes fotográficas, combinadas con un impecable retoque 3-D, sino también por el hecho de que la propia artista es una chica nacida en Beijing, que sólo apenas 30 años de edad. Con su estilo fresco y perfecto dominio del 3D, consiguió crear su propio estilo fotográfico.
Su trabajo para Vision Magazine incluye las portadas de los años 2003-2006 y 2007. También es una colaboradora habitual de las publicaciones chinas como Vogue, Elle, Bazaar, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan y Esquire. Su obra fue expuesta en las más famosas galerías y museos de China. Chen Man was born in 1980 in Beijing, China, where she studied graphic design at the Central Academy of Fine Arts. She is THE star of the fashion photo world in China. She made a huge impact when she started shooting the covers for the Chinese Vision Magazine. As her work hit the streets it was met with surprise and awe. People were not only blown away by the amazing photographic images combined seamlessly with computerized 3-d rendering, but also by the fact that the artist herself is a Beijing born girl who is only 28 years old. With her fresh style and all this 3D technique she created her own style in photography. 
Her work for Vision Magazine includes the covers from years 2003-2006 and 2007. She is also a regular contributor to the Chinese publications in Vogue, Elle, Bazaar, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, and Esquire. Her work is exposed in the most famous Chinese galleries and museums in China. In 2008 she was a part of the “China Design” exposition in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. One of her pictures was selected for the exposition’s advertisement.

En colaboración con el diseñador de moda chino Hao Qiu, ha realiazdo una serie de fotografías de moda que reflejan la inspiración de su colección otoño invierno 2011 titulada "Serpiente". Un homenaje a este reptil, sus misterios, la fascinación y el miedo que puede producir.
Mattieu ha desarrollado varias especialidades para alcanzar su especial comprensión de la imagen.
"Trabajando con imágenes refleja mi deseo de entender el mundo que me rodea y de su gente. Cada elemento es esencial en el proceso captura de imágenes como una forma de arte, jugando con interdependencia de la luz, el tiempo y la contemplación. La posibilidad de exploración de la conciencia a través del ojo, estoy interminablemente fascinado por los misterios de la forma y los secretos sorprendentes que pueden revelar. "

In collaboration with the chinese fashion designer Qiu Hao, a series of fashion photographies to reflect the inspirations of his F/W 2011 collections named "Serpens". A tribute to this reptile, its mysteries, the fascination and fear it can unveil.
