So You Want an Emo Hairstyle?

A wise choice of haircut- I think it'll look fabulous!

Okay, firstly let's focus on your face shape.

It you have a longer face, and a squared jaw, then you'd suit the hair being as long as it is in those pictures. However, if you have more of a round face then I suggest going slightly shorter at the back to counter-balance the long fringe. For example, this pic.

Find out what hairdressers you will be using (I use Toni And Guy as they do 'emo/scene' styles really well) and go and talk to one of the hairdressers that'll cut your hair for you. Explain to them what they think is best for you hair, whether the style will suit you etc. Print off the photographs and show them. Doing this will let your hairdresser know exactly what you want it like- but do bear in mind, these hairstyles are high maintenance and it'll cost a fortune on hair products.

Now, for the descriptive part.

You'll need your hair reasonably long before you get your hair cut, so you can have the shape 'cut in'. From the pictures, your hairstylist will be able to get a good idea of what they'll be doing. A sweeping, choppy fringe across one side is important. Remember to tell them to keep one side longer and shorter as you go across, so you get that 'flicked' look. Keep it longer along the sides and at the back, razoring layers into it. Then, at the crown of the head, the hair should be cut really short so it can be 'spiked up' with wax or gel.

Have a go with some colour if you're feeling brave- white blonde highlights, a creamy blue or perhaps even pink or orange if you're really going for it. Get them sliced in under your sweeping fringe and at the nape of your neck. There are a few links at the end of my post which suggest some good colours which would work well with that haircut. Take a look.

If you need any styling tips after you get your hair cut, send a message to Demixxdinosaur from Yahoo Anwser and she'd love to help you guys. His boyfriend has exactly the same haircut and she does his hair often and watch him style it all of the time.

Hairstyles to Suit a Long Face

Hairstyles to Suit a Long Face-3However, your face shape does not have to remain visually permanent. In fact, with the right choice of hairstyle, the oblong or long face can appear fabulous and sensual. In fact, the long face is the perfect canvass to create a classic feminine look. But what hairstyles will suit a long face?

Hairstyles to Suit a Long Face-2Do you really have a long face?

First, a woman must solidly verify that she has indeed an oblong face. It would be a pity to wear hairstyles suited for long faces when the face shape is actually an oval or a diamond. To determine your face shape, look for a photograph of yourself that shows the front of your face directly. Pictures that show your face at an angle will not work. It is important to have the whole face exposed in the photo.

Hairstyles to Suit a Long Face-1 Take a tape measure and measure the distance between the hairline and the tip of the chin. This is the length of your face. Then, measure the distance between the edges of the sides of the face. This should be done across the cheeks. This distance is the width of the face. And finally, the length is divided by the width. If the calculation result is higher than 1.5, then your face absolutely has a long face shape.

What are your best features?

Second, you should determine which part of your face is your best feature. Is it the sultry eyes? Is it the pouting well-shaped lips? Is it the proud little nose? Is it the flawless skin? Identifying the best feature on the face is important because this feature must be highlighted or flaunted. Next to the long face shape, this is another consideration that a woman must take when choosing suitable hairstyles. For example, a chic bob will highlight the lips. Wispy bangs will bring attention to the eyes.

Third, you should make a list of styles that you must avoid. These hairstyles will usually make the face appear longer. Some of the hairstyles to avoid are those that are too short and too long. The length of the hairstyle should not appear like an army cut. Think how Kristian Alfonso would look like if she chooses to wear a skull-capping haircut. It would be disastrous because she has a long face. But the length of the hairstyle should not go beyond the bust line. Sarah Jessica Parker tried growing her hair at that length and the result was horrendous. She quickly rectified that mistake by shortening the length of her hair.

A loyal fan may disagree with this observation and may believe that Sarah Jessica Parker can do no wrong when it comes to hairstyles. But if two pictures of her are placed side by side, one with hair extensions going beyond the bust line and the other with the hair length just brushing the shoulders, it is easy to realize that the latter hairstyle looks significantly more attractive than the former.

And fourth, the woman with a long face shape must decide the kind of jazz that she needs for her hairstyle. If the hair is straight, it needs layered cuts to add volume. If the hair is curly, it needs styling and taming to bring out the best features of the face. It would be great for the curls to frame her face, especially around the jaw line. This will provide the illusion that the face shape is shorter. If bangs are chosen, these can be wispy, side-swept, or blunt. And if no bangs are wanted, the hair should be blown smoothly to add width.

HAIRSTYLES FOR OVAL FACE SHAPES

If you have wavy hair and an oval face, this long, wavy hairstyle is for you. It's not too long, which is bad for oval faces, but it's the perfect mix of wavy & long.

Celebrities that have OVAL FACE SHAPES

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow. Here, you see how hair that's just too long not only overwhelms an otherwise pretty face, but drags it down. While there are few hard and fast rules in beauty, we think few women can get away with hair this long. While dark roots were trendy for like five seconds last year, they never looked nice.

Jennifer Aniston. An A-lister star all the way, Jennifer Aniston, also known as Brad Pitt’s ex-wife, is a blonde beauty who has the girl next door look and is equally at ease falling into the femme fatale mode, if a role demands it.

Cameron Diaz. Cameron lookes amazing promoting her movie, "In Her Shoes" with this simple yet stylish hairdo.

Sharon Stone.

The favorites were their claim to the perfect haircut they right this is the most flattering haircut on almost every face type. An little shaggy and layered, how to get it? Here are some tips. Layer is the key - the best layers are left to the front and are meant to frame the face, but never go above the eye on short hair or above earlobes on long hair.

There are many factors to consider when choosing a short hair style if you think you would like short hairstyles you should bracket and also look at all of the very short hairstyles and medium hairstyles. I have always believed that the perfect style can only be achieved when you considered all the variables for instance your new short hair cut should match your personality lifestyle time constraints body shape face shape hair texture hair density eye color and skin tone.

It should create a sense of balance between your head face and body for those interested in getting a shorter haircut and being free of taking care of all that long hair these hairstyles might be exactly what you need most hairstyles will fit any age group and hair color is an easy adjustment do not let these be a tool to narrow your list of potential hairstyles or haircuts.

How to pick the perfect haircut when you are considering a new haircut and looking for a new haircut style? Here are some suggestions from professional stylists resources can be found everywhere you look. You can find so many different hair cut styles. Short to medium layered hairstyles are best suited for triangle shaped face layered hair with fullness at the crown would look best for pear shaped face for an oblong shaped face layered bobs and choppy cuts are best suited, and good luck in the coming year.

Diamond shaped face? Go for hairstyle that has width at the top and bottom and sleekness in the wider part of the face chin length haircut with temple to temple fringes is the best bet for a diamond shaped face. A pear shaped face the haircut should symmetry to the narrow forehead and wide cheeks and jaw line concentrate fullness at the temple and the fringe area make it sleek at the cheeks and jaw line. Searching a hairstylist for curly haircuts difficulties with naturally curly haircuts include getting the curls to grow in the right direction keeping the hair in good condition, which is why curly haired women should head straight for an expert in curly hair. And good luck for the New Year.
